As Im writing this post... its Wednesday, my sweet little Arrianna is at Youth Group. Joaquin is playing quietly (for now!), Donavan has his skates on, practicing his moves for his first Roller Game on Saturday, and Jose, well he's around here somewhere! I have my playlist playing... the song is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"... seems theraputic, ahhh.. Life is Good.
So recently I joined a MOPS group. We have fellowship, eat yummy recipes (Can you believe I made brownies with real flour? lol) do fun crafts and also have some "just me" time, which some days is much needed. I love love love my group. Its such a wonderful diverse group of women. In all honesty some of these gals I wouldnt normally talk to, I mean... Id be like "What! That mom is nothing like me!" But in actuality, we're more alike then I had thought! I joined the group from an invite from one of Donavans pals Moms. And to be super super honest, was pretty afraid to go without my "core" group of girlfriends. But am soooo glad I did. And now I look forward to our weekly get togethers!
I guess it kinda like Arriannas journey into Youth Group with the Church. It was out of her comfort zone.. Would she know anyone? Would anyone talk to her? Would they have anything in common? Dropping her off, I was afraid to leave her but sure enough she shoo'd me out the door!
So maybe we're all growing... Speaking of growing. Today Arrianna joined her peers at "See you at the Pole". It was a proud moment for me, my heart was full. I wanted to shout in praise "Thank you Awesome Father! Thank you for welcoming her into your Church, and help her to continue to grow in a positive light, Lead her to offer fellowship to her peers and to never be afraid, and to never be fearful of sharing in your word." She doesnt know it yet, but I had my camera with me when I dropped her off to school, and of course... Mama (stood back) and took pictures :) Then her youth pastor (who I graduated High School with. Umm... Sure I have a JR HIGHER!) invited me over and we all prayed a bit together.
Anyhow, my peaceful blogging-ness has ended. Joaquin thinks he's Evil Knievel and is standing on his Push toy/scooter thing... and of course Donavan is rollerblading in the house around him. Ahhh a Circus Theme is perfect for First Birthday Celebrations.... Hugs-
